Commercial Courts on the way

Courts specializing in commercial disputes will be up and running before the end of the year, Justice Minister Dr Mohammed Al Sitri said yesterday.

There would be one court dealing with investment, banking and finance falling under the High Civil Appeals Court.There will be two falling under the High Civil Court dealing with investment disputes and third dealing with banking and finance. There will be another dealing with banking and finance falling under the Lower Civil Court.

Dr Al Sitri said the courts would look at cast. es in closer detail than general courts, improving the investment environment in Bahrain. He said that these courts would also act faster, meeting the demands of the business sector.
